Free Love True Love - Book Review

About the Book

This is the gift I received last year in our Courage Christmas party and I want to encourage everyone to grab a copy of this book. If you're not that familiar with Pope John Paul II's Theology of the Body, this is the best place to start. A lot of stuff we know about love and sex we learned from the media and unfortunately they just don't get it. Theology of the Body helps us to understand in its purest form sexuality in light of God's original plan for humanity.

It is guaranteed to be theologically insightful yet light to read and sort of an "appetizer" if you will should you decide later on to delve on exploring the Theology of the Body more deeply. Fr. Joel Jason was able to combine theology with his day-to-day pastoral experience as a Catholic priest thereby making this book a must-read for those who are seeking to deepen their understanding of human sexuality in all its fullness. A good read indeed especially for us who are not used to reading papal encyclicals and Vatican documents because the topics are presented in a conversational manner and injected with humor.
